This historic and charming cottage was built in 1925 and has been lovingly brought up to date and professionally decorated with vintage touches for your comfort and convenience. Queen bedroom has private bath with shower, large dresser, and armoire. King bedroom has closet, armoire/dresser, comfortable reading chair, and 42 in. TV. Second bath has door to outside deck with an outdoor shower. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and microwave. Stack washer/dryer in separate room off kitchen. The enclosed front porch has twinXL daybeds for relaxing or accommodating extra guests. The cozy living room has 50 in. TV and WiFi. Enjoy the Florida weather from the brick patio overlooking the backyard or follow the path through a bamboo forest to your own dock on Frazier Creek. Access to kayak and bicycle rentals is conveniently located next door. Boating is limited to 6ft. clearance due to the bridge on Federal highway.
interesting note... word has it that Al Capones girlfriend once lived here and would walk to the train station in her RED heels to meet him on his way to Miami!

Summary: The setting was perfect all of the events that had been planned for this destination wedding were within a 0-25 minute from “Peace Cottage”. We were also close to other family members. The perfect outcome for a mini vacation family and a great little town…Stuart. Everything else I icing on the cake. Thank you

Summary: My husband only had a few days, but enjoyed every minute of our stay at Peace Cottage. It was conveniently located to downtown Stuart, very walkable. We drove to the beach, which was a short distance. The cottage suited our every need, with the exception of adequate beach chairs. Since we flew from NC, we couldn't bring our beach equipment, it would be nice if the beach chairs get replaced. That is our only complaint, loved the charming cottage!

Summary: I love the fact that this is a 1925 home with some history. Mary Jo has decorated it in a very appealing way. I found everything I needed and all was in working order I sat by the canal several nights with wine and listened to the soft music coming from the bar across the way. Stuart has many shops and several preserves and beaches near by for hiking and kayaking. 😀
